assist projects that provide resources and services at a local level, which encourage self help and offer sustainability of local initiatives.

Examples of projects that the programme would seek to fund include:

  • Youth work, particularly projects, which contribute to reduction in crime and anti-social behaviour.
  • Cultural activities ( including leisure and sport) particularly projects that encourage local communities to use facilities located within the Trust's area.

3. Older People: Examples might include:

  • Projects that present opportunities for contributing to improved quality of life.
  • Projects that promote and encourage health and fitness, particularly within community settings such as local clubs and community centres.
